My Disney Journey

This blog was a journey of my application to Walt Disney World's Cultural Representative Program, from sorting out my CV through all the interviews to a year of having a mouse for a boss! Now, watch as I try to get back to my second home.

Stupid Fairies, and stupid block out dates April 17, 2011

Day off number 3 of 3.

And so the end of my three-day weekend comes around. The intention, as stated yesterday, was to go to Typhoon Lagoon. However, when we got there, we found out that there were block out dates for free cast/discounted friends entry, until the 30th. Terri and I were not impressed. Katie and her family still went to Typhoon though, and Terri and I passed.

So, having reassessed our situation, we decided to head up to the Contemporary to go to Contempo Cafe for lunch. It was really rather yummy! After that, a short trip down to Hollywood Studios, where we watched the parade, grabbed an ice-cream and saw the Beauty and the Beast show. By this time, Terri wanted to come home so she could sort herself out before meeting back up with Katie for dinner, so home we came!

We took a dip in the pool (so we at least swam a little today!) before coming back to the flat, where I washed my hair. Terri then went out, and I went shopping for lunches for the week. I’ve spent the rest of this evening watching Sleeping Beauty, and I’ll be heading to sleep now as I start food running tomorrow. I’m kinda nervous, and I really want a good night’s sleep.

So night world!

P.S. The Fairies in Sleeping Beauty are silly. Why bring Aurora back to the castle on the day of her 16th birthday while she’s still at risk?! Why not wait until the day after?! Or at least until the sun had gone down?! Crazy Fairies. 😛
